No hay horas de oficina mañana. Eso significa que vamos a tener que posponer la prueba hasta la primera clase del año nuevo. Chapter 3 Final Project

Kudos! Overall I'm very happy with what you have done with the MovieMaker/iMovie projects. I feel it was a great way to expose you to some technology you will need in the future and to learn a lot of Spanish and Latin American culture in listening to one of the region's biggest music sensations, Javier García.

I think music is a powerful way to teach language, and now that you have experience under your belt with all of this newfangled technology - and because you seem to be embracing these kinds of assignments - I've decided I'm not going to give a traditional pen and paper test on Chapter 3. Instead, in my near-infinite generosity ; )- it will be a project similar to your last project. Here are the details...

(50 points) Project Requirements (READ ALL OF THESE CAREFULLY. THE BURDEN IS ON YOU TO MEET ALL PROJECT REQUIREMENTS):

*For the song below, produce a movie with either original images (photos/videos YOU have taken of yourself or others acting out the lyrics - RECOMMENDED) or images you have culled from Google Images (less desirable but acceptable).

*This time, you must include the lyrics on your slides, as did Isaac in his last production. Be careful with spelling. Find a way to incorporate accents. I can supply you guidelines for both Windows and Mac machines if you need.

*You MUST include at the beginning a title slide with your name and school as well as an image of our Realidades 3 textbook before the song starts (you can find this on line easily enough). This is to help ease the copyright issue...

*Due date is Thursday, January 6th.

*10% off per day for late submissions.

OJO: Antes de completar los enlaces lean esto:

*if these are negative commands, do NOT attach the REFLEXIVE pronouns. Move these pronouns to BEFORE the verb (to the front):

Acuérdense:

• Blogposts ("tengo una alimentación saludable...") TIENEN QUE incluir imágenes. For 3A these should already be in, for 3B they are due by class time.
• Necesitan traer sus computadoras/ordenadores a clase mañana.
• Para el viernes (both classes, regardless of whether you meet Friday): Projects completed according to all the criterion set out on the guidelines. 10% letter grade reduction per day late, including Saturday and Sunday.

Esta tarea vale 20 puntos en mi libreta de califaciones. Busco buena ortografía Y HAY QUE INCLUIR IMAGENES DE LAS COMIDAS QUE TE GUSTAN MAS (las pueden bajar de Google Images y después subirlas a tu blogpost). 25 puntos en mi libreta de calificaciones.

Trabajar los proyectos. Recomiendo que empiecen con las imágenes que van a necesitar para demostrar el significado de la canción (puedes sacar tus propias fotos si quieres o buscarlas en Google Images). Quiero ver sus imágenes mañana! No compartan! Quiero que cada uno tenga sus propias imágenes!!

Detalles del proyecto iMovie/Moviemaker

Proyecto (50 puntos):

*Para el 17 de diciembre, cada uno (this is NOT a pair or goup project but rather individual; also no extensions granted unless extreme circumstances are presented) de ustedes tiene que haberme hecho una película - usando MovieMaker o iMovie - en la cual me demuestras el significado de la canción con imágenes recogidas (gathered/culled) o bajadas (downloaded) del Internet.

*Paso 1: Escucha la canción (el video se encuentra aquí - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XgSPE22hvSY - y las letras se encuentran aquí - http://www.musica.com/letras.asp?letra=1661213). Haz una lista de las palabras necesarias para demostrar/mostrar/enseñar el significado de la canción.

*Paso 2: Usando Google Images, busca imágenes apropiadas y bájalas (download) a tu disco duro. OJO: SE RECOMIENDA GUARDARLOS TAMBIEN EN PICASA O FLICKR.

*Paso 3: Sube esas imágenes a MovieMaker/iMovie.

*Paso 4: Baja la canción “Tranquila” del Internet (te va a costar $1 en iTunes) y súbela a MovieMaker/iMovie.

*Paso 5: Haz tu película…

*HAY QUE EMPEZAR TU PELICULA CON UNA PORTADA (COVER PAGE) QUE DICE EL NOMBRE DEL ARTISTA Y LA CANCION, EL NOMBRE DE LA ESCUELA (SUGAR BOWL ACADEMY) Y TU NOMBRE ENTERA (NOMBRE Y APELLIDO EN INGLES).

*Paso 6: Sube (upload) tu película a YouTube y mándale al profe Jobe el enlace (link) o URL por correo electrónico a npjobe@gmail.com
